If you have a high number of links across the top of your website, it’s very likely visitors will skip over important items. Making sure that you limit your navigation at the top level will give some advantage in SEO as well.

Remove Superfluous Features

Extra features that do not help your site are pointless. They are going to distract your visitors. If you are selling certain items, you should only provide the relevant information that your customer needs.

Ultimately, they have to make an informed decision. This means you’ve got to provide simple things such as newsletter sign-ups, social media links, and sharing widgets, but do not put them on your product pages.

Keep the Copy Short

Your website does not need to be very detailed. The point is to get your visitors to take action right away. Be short and to the point. Show your visitors how to get more information. And if you think there is more information that you deem valuable, perhaps put this in a blog post or a video.

You might see one type of message on the About Us page, but when you go to the Services pages, there’s a very similar thing in slightly different wording. Remember, if your visitors need to understand the concept of your business or website, the website needs to be streamlined effectively.
