Make Your Office More Client Friendly

office

It doesn’t matter what industry you are in your working environment, and the office should be comfortable and welcoming to your clients.

And while there are many industries like the automotive industry, manufacturing industry, and more that are used to a more dirty and busy environment. You still need to do the best for your clients.

When you work for your clients, always keep in mind the attractiveness and aesthetics of the office and how it functions. It would help make sure that it is easy and accessible for all kinds of clients.

This means that as well as wheelchair ramps, you should also have a lift fitted by Sheridan Lifts, braille, and more accessibility options.

While most clients aren’t looking for massage chairs and top-of-the-range furniture, they should feel welcomed and comfortable.

Lighting

We all know that offices and warehouses can all be dark from time to time; it is your job to make sure your space is well lit.

A well-lit space is more welcoming, but it is also easier on the eyes, even more so if you happen to be dealing in an industry where the color and shade of something matter. As much natural light into the office area or the space where you meet clients is essential.

If you have the budget, it’s a good idea to have a skylight fitted in any rooms where you may be meeting clients or have new windows extended.

Temperature

There is a running joke that some people turn the temperature up in the office, well other people turn it down. It is, however, vital that you have a stringent rule when it comes to the temperature of the office when your clients arrive.

Ideally, you will prioritize your client’s comfort here and have a temperature set at a standard.

One of the things that you should keep in mind when adjusting the temperature is if a temperature is too cold, it means that the client will not be able to get to war more comfortably, and if it is too warm, they may feel stuffy.

Both of these will be bad for business and have a noticeable impact on performance.

Furniture

It might be tempting to go for function over form, but to plastic back, chairs against a rickety table are not the perfect recipe for your best work or closing those all-important deals.

It would be best if you were looking to have a very comfortable set of furniture for when the meetings are likely to run long.

The more comfortable your offices, the more comfortable your clients’ experience.

Refreshments

Something that you should have available to your visiting clients is refreshments. It doesn’t matter if they say that they don’t want them; the fact that you have them available is already a bonus. Consider investing in a small fridge that can stash bottles of water and other beverages, as well as a high-quality coffee machine.
